Life is Now Session. Are You Present?
I am a licensed social worker (LMSW) from Hunter College. During my first-year of studies, I worked at the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT) where I assisted voluntary and involuntary clients who range from psychiatric, physical, substance abuse and mental diagnoses. I additionally co-facilitated and lead groups based on wellness and self-management.
As my second-year training, I continued deepening my clinical and interviewing skills, and techniques necessary for proper evaluation, assessment and identification of psychopathology through my work at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center (PPSC) post-graduate institute. I provided individual psychotherapy under the supervision of two trained clinicians Panthea Saidipour, LCSW and Joan Brady, LCSW.
Between 2015-17, I managed a private practice called Interactive Discovery. I provided exemplary customer service, organized monthly clinical supervision meetings and leaded mindful practices for clinicians, demonstrated the value of creating a holistic store within the practice, and led the redesign of the website.
My experience also includes volunteering at Elmhurst Hospital between 2016-17, providing counseling, and emotional support to children and adolescents of the inpatient psychiatric unit experiencing a variety of psychological trauma.
